The United States offers a diverse selection of stunning landscapes, all providing an unforgettable backdrop for the trip of a lifetime, a honeymoon, or a destination wedding. But, choosing between the 50 states, 63 national parks, and over 5,000 miles of coastlines is difficult.
So, let’s explore three of the most popular destinations across the US, highlighting their unique appeal for adventurers and prospective newlyweds alike.
Maui, Hawaii
The islands of Hawaii are a dreamy paradise, but Maui in particular has everything you could need for a show-stopping destination wedding. With endless beaches, hidden waterfalls, and jungle-esque rainforests, there are plenty of breathtaking views. Hawaiian culture is also a big part of visiting the islands. Locals are friendly, hospitable, and actively encourage you to participate in their traditions.
Logistically, Maui is well-connected and easy to get to compared to the smaller islands. Plus, there’s lots to do besides sunbathing and drinking cocktails with little umbrellas. The volcanoes and undulating terrain provide plenty of opportunities for exciting excursions for hiking enthusiasts (especially within Haleakalā National Park). And the glistening waters surrounding the island are teeming with vibrant marine life, making them perfect for scuba diving and watersports.

Jackson Hole, Wyoming
The picturesque valley of Jackson Hole is a beautiful and fascinating place to visit. But, with the majestic Tetons shaping the skyline and plenty of Western charm, it’s also a truly magical wedding destination. With a rich supply of venues, you’ll have everything you need for an enchanting outdoor ceremony in one of the most popular locations in America.
You can set out for a sunrise or sunset horseback ride from a nearby ranch, or discover wildlife as you hike through the Grand Teton National Park. Black bears, elk, moose, and bison all call the 310,000 acres of fragrant meadows and alpine lakes home – so be sure to pack some binoculars! And always exercise caution around wildlife (they’re wild, after all!)

Napa Valley, California
Napa Valley is the perfect destination to host a romantic wedding. There are, of course, world-renowned wines that are (as the valley itself states) “as good as bottled poetry”. And it’s a place that simply oozes indulgence, with high-end hotels and rolling hills bursting with ripe vineyards.
But, Napa is so much more than wine and inviting ambiance. Another compelling reason to visit Napa Valley is to taste the exquisite cuisine of the region. Head to the Oxbow Public Market to sample artisan cheeses, fresh oysters, and a plethora of other delicious dishes made from locally sourced, sun-ripened ingredients.
The scenery in Napa is serene, so it’s best explored on foot or a bicycle. Prefer a more intimate experience with nature? Napa has you covered! You can get mucky in Calistoga with a rejuvenating mud bath before getting lost in the 3-million-year-old petrified forest at the Napa/Sonoma border. Talk about getting back to nature!

Whether you visit these three amazing locations to tie the knot or just to revel in their abundant natural beauty, you’re bound to find yourself desperate to return. The only question that remains is, which will you explore first?
