A springtime stroll through the Champ de Mars in Paris, France.  Because… it’s perfection.

The 15 stained glass windows (each 49 feet high) of the Sainte Chapelle depict 1,113 scenes from the Old and New Testaments, and are some of the most impressive stained glass works in all of Europe.  Almost makes you feel like you’ve died and gone to heaven.

The Big Wheel on the Place de la Concorde is a 200 foot tall ferris wheel near The Louvre, and a great place to relax as you walk around the city.  So fantastic!

Sunset from the top of the Arc de Triomphe is an absolute must!  In addition to having great views of the city, it’ll also a great way to work on your buns of steal with an intense 284 steps to reach the top.

You could easily spend an entire day in The Louvre.  Insider tip- to avoid long wait times, make sure to get the Paris Pass for skip the line tickets.

The Mona Lisa- small painting, huge crowd.  If you want any hope of seeing her, do yourself a favor and head straight there the moment The Louvre opens.

The Winged Victory of Samothrace is a marble sculpture of the Greek goddess of victory from the 2nd century B.C. (and one of my personal favorites!)  The way the artist made the stone look like silk over her stomach is simply beautiful.

Cherry blossoms at the Eiffel Tower.  Nuff said.

Catch a show at the iconic Moulin Rouge.  Voulez-vous coucher avec moi?

Even entrances have beautiful attention to detail, like these ornate gilded doors to the Petit Palais (because… Paris.)

The Sacre Coeur overlooks the city from the top of Butte Montmartre (which is the highest point in the city.)  Because of it’s location, it offers incredible sweeping views of the city.  In addition, you can climb the 300+ steps to the dome for a 360 shot of Paris.  It’s well worth the effort!

If you thought the outside of the Sacre Coeur was beautiful, just wait until you go inside. The mosaic tiles and stained glass are simply breathtaking!  Another reason why visiting the church is a must.

The Catacombs house the remains of more than six million people in an underground labyrinth of tunnels.  It took two years under the cover of darkness to move the bones from overflowing cemeteries.  If you go to see them, be sure to purchase skip-the-line tickets ahead of time.  Otherwise, the line literally wraps around the block!

The city is full of extremely talented street musicians, and nothing says Paris like romantic songs played on an accordion.  Probably one of my favorite things about the city.

The Eiffel Tower light show is a stunning display at the top of the hour which makes the Paris nights even more dazzling.  Just when you thought the city couldn’t sparkle more…  So.  Beautiful.

Another great museum is the Musee d’Orsay, which is housed in a former train station constructed for the 1900 World Fair.  It contains stunning works by Van Gogh, Monet, Rodin, and Gauguin (among others.)

Take in incredible views from the platforms of the Eiffel Tower.  Seems like the perfect opportunity to catch your breath!.

The Notre Dame Cathedral is iconic in the Roman Catholic church, and is also one of the most impressive examples of French Gothic Architecture in the world.  It houses important church relics, such as Christ’s crown of thorns, in addition to gatherings of devout followers from around the world.

There are 37 bridges over the Seine River in Paris, and each has it’s own unique personality.  Possibly the most beautiful, Le Pont Alexandre III, is adorned with sculptures and gold accents that make it a must see on your Parisian holiday.

Have you ever fallen in love with a room?  I have.

Sculptures, bridges, and love locks- common sites as you stroll through the city (hopefully with a pastry or crepe in hand!)  Another reason why the best way to get around the city is on foot.

Make sure to walk the cobblestone streets of Montmartre- an adorable art district near the Sacre Coeur.  Even their graffiti is cute!

Tucked between streets throughout the city are parks and gardens.  They’re the perfect place to enjoy a croissant and leisurely watch the afternoon go by.  (This also happens to be the entrance to the hotel I stayed at in Montmartre – the Timhotel.  It’s absolutely fantastic, if you need a recommendation).

Sunrise at the carousel by the Eiffel Tower.  I can’t recommend greeting Paris with the sun highly enough.  The peaceful stillness before the flurry of crowds is pure magic.
