If you have photos that capture all your favorite memories this year, you should think about compiling them in some kind of display. Here are seven ideas for capturing memories you made that are sure to impress.
Create A Video
One of the most fun ways to celebrate your memories is to edit a video. There are a variety of different videos you can make:
- 365 Project: This is one of the most popular kinds of year-end videos in which you compile a video made from a 1-second clip of every day of the year. You can pick any video clip, but you can only have 1 for each day. Your resulting video will be 365 seconds long. When you’re done editing, share it with your friends on social media!
- One Video per Month: This is a more flexible version of the 365 Project in which you compile a single video from each month of the year. Simply pick a video you took that best describes how that month went for you.
- Freeform Video: Include any and all videos that you took in 2019, from vacation videos to hangouts with friends. Be sure to add your favorite music to the backdrop of the video and don’t be afraid to get wild with the editing!
Make A Collage
Make a collage online using all your favorite photos! You can create a collage using photos of all your favorite memories, or you can create separate collages for each of your favorite memories. The easiest way to make a collage is to use a collage app, but you might be able to get more creative by using professional photo editing software. Have your collage professionally printed and hang it up in your home!
Scrapbook Your Photographs
Scrapbooking is still one of the most popular ways to collect your memories, especially if you love doing arts and crafts. Buy a lovely scrapbook for your memories and have your favorite photos printed in color on high-quality photo paper. Assemble them in your scrapbook however you want, whether it be chronological, by event, or by friend group.
If you want to display your photos in book form but you don’t want to do scrapbooking, you can also create a custom photo album that you can keep on your bookshelf.

Print Holiday Cards
Pick one or two of your favorite photos and turn it into a holiday card to send to your family and friends! It doesn’t have to be a super elegant, professionally-taken photo of you. For instance, if your friends know you for your silly personality, send a photo that’ll make them laugh.
If you’re going to be printing holiday photos for a lot of people, you can save time and money by choosing a black-and-white photo. Print your holiday cards on the best black and white laser printer you can find and save on ink costs.
Create a Memory Calendar
A memory calendar is one of the most unique photo displays you can create! Buy a large-sized calendar that encompasses the whole year. Then print out your favorite photos and paste them on the calendar date on which they were taken. You can deck out your memory calendar in the same way that you decorate your scrapbooks. Hang the memory calendar on your wall to have a constant reminder of the amazing year you had.
Chart Your Travels
Are you a traveler at heart? Then you’ll probably want to commemorate the year by charting all the wonderful places you traveled to! Buy a decorative push pin world map and stick a pin in every location that you traveled. You can even color-code each pin! For example, your past trips could be red pins while your upcoming trip pins could be green. It’s a fun memory display that you can keep updating as the years go by.

Create a Gallery Wall
If you have a little more space in your home, create a gallery wall. A gallery wall is an entire wall that features little mementos of your year’s adventures. Things like souvenirs you bought on your travels, framed photos of your favorite memories, heartfelt gifts from your best friends, etc. A gallery wall can be as large and complex or as small and simple as you want. Use bookshelves, wall shelves, and wall frames to put your year on display for all to see.
