There was no shortage of picture perfect moments in 2017.  With seven different countries, multiple states, and unbelievable opportunities there were plenty of wow-worthy snapshots to choose from.

Here are just a few of my favorites to inspire your adventures in 2018.

AUSTRALIA

I was surprised at how quickly I fell in love with Sydney.  Australia has a vibrant charm that quickly pulls you in and leaves you homesick for a country half a world away.

From its quintessential beauty, like the Sydney Opera House’s intricate design, to heart-pounding experiences like climbing the Sydney Harbour Bridge, the land down under boasts a variety of activities to draw you in.

BALI

It’s no wonder why Bali is known as the Island of the Gods.  Walking among rice terraces and through temple gates that dwarf you in comparison leaves you completely in awe.

So when I had the opportunity to travel there for a blogging retreat with The Blonde Abroad I jumped at the chance!

And as you can see, this tropical paradise didn’t disappoint.

Czech Republic

I kept hearing the same thing – Prague is one of the most incredible cities in the world.  People went so far as to say it was the best.  So naturally, I had to go and see for myself.

What did I find?

A jewel along the Vltava.  Its deep history, spired rooftops, and compelling artwork quickly propelled it to the top of my list too.

Denmark

Despite being in Copenhagen for just 13 hours, it was long enough to develop a deep appreciation for its enchanting culture and prismatic facades.

The vibrant cityscape brightens up even the dreariest morning, and the cheerful colors lining the waterways make you feel like you’re strolling through a postcard.

France

Ah, Paris. The City of Lights’ romantic allure is undeniable.

Watching the sun set from the top of the Arc de Triomphe and the Eiffel Tower light show that followed was one of those pinch-me moments I’ll never forget.

While I never like to repeat destinations, I’m counting down the days till I return.

Germany

I happened upon Germany the way you might happen upon a lucky penny – completely by accident but happily surprised by what I discovered.

I booked a flight for the great price, but stayed for the alluring charm.  Germany’s half-timbered houses, cobblestone streets, and jaw-dropping castles are straight out of a storybook and completely unforgettable.

Poland

Poland’s compelling history is rivaled only by its astounding architecture.

I ventured to Poland for the sole purpose of visiting Auschwitz (which was altogether heartbreaking and unforgettable).  However, I was surprised to find Poland has so much more to offer.  The surprisingly beautiful Wieliczka Salt Mine, Krakow’s captivating Old Town square, and some of the friendliest locals I’ve ever encountered.

Plus, it’s one of the more affordable destinations in Europe!  Bonus!

United States

It’s always fun playing tourist in your own backyard.

The year was full of adventures hiking the mountains of Montana, witnessing the powerful beauty of Yellowstone, eating delicious seafood in Portland, and acting as a tour guide to friends in Colorado.

Despite loving international travel, there are still countless places on my American bucket list!
